Our Wobblers classroom, ages 12 through 24 months, is a Montessori classroom with a careful balance of age-appropriate educational activities combined with opportunities to develop socially and artistically. This classroom accommodates no more than 10 children, with an adult-to-child ratio of one to five. The classroom activities encompass the areas of practical life, sensorial, language, math, sign language, art, and gardening. The use of practical life materials aids the children in developing independence, concentration, coordination and a sense of order. Each week children also attend P.E. and Music classes for additional learning opportunities. Teachers observe each child throughout the day and note the child’s behavior and habits on a detailed daily report, which is given to parents when they pick their child up from school.
